Dear Me,
I have a feeling this is the first time you’ve heard from me, that perhaps you have never given yourself the love that has always been with you and that has always loved you. I am glad you are listening now.
In scanning back over the years, it didn’t take long at all for me to recognize your strength of will and selflessness. On behalf of those who you may have served quietly, thank you. And on behalf of those who ignited your first brave move, I am deeply grateful.
Like many, you grew up too fast, in a home that wasn’t always safe – emotionally or physically. Yet you loved with all our heart your parents, siblings, and friends. You grew to know how to protect but had to figure out how to be, feel, and accept protection. The strength it took you to subsist is the very foundation upon which you can and will thrive through life’s challenges with steadfast resilience.
I am so, so proud of you. Your courage to really live this one life, despite the obstacles, can be a beacon for others. First, do this again for yourself.
Dear Me, I hope you are really listening now because I know you need to hear this
(say this):
You are loved. (I am loved.)
You are worthy. (I am worthy.)
You are protected. (I am protected.)
You are a glorious light embodied and your courage is still with you. That free-spirited girl is still you. You must go out and truly live with your amazing spirit of loyalty and enduring optimism. As they say, you’ve got this.
Love,
Me
P.S. You look gorgeous today! 🙂
